Submission Guidelines

First of all, there are five requirements that I demand for any of my anthologies. Before proceeding to the specific guidelines for the various titles, read those five requirements. If you don't read those five requirements, don't complain when I reject you. In case you missed it, click here for the five requirements.

I know, it seems absurd that I had to post that link four times in one paragraph, but it has been simply astounding how many people have paid them absolutely no attention and submitted anyway. I get more submissions than I can count, and I'd rather reduce the number of subs that simply don't meet my basic requirements.

Without further ado—assuming you've read those five requirements—here are links to my open anthologies:

Artifacts: Things Out of Time
and
Travelers: People Out of Time

A pair of time-travel anthologies. Writers will submit only to Artifacts: Things Out of Time. Those writers whose stories are accepted will then submit to the invitation-only Travelers: People Out of Time. This is a two-for-one opportunity.

Salacious Tales 2

The first Salacious Tales was about the most fun I've ever had doing anything, so I'm accepting submissions for ST2. The first was illustrated—cover and interior, with one B&W illo for each of the stories—by the amazingly talented Aleksandar Ziljak, who brought a new level of creativity and marvel to that antho. Aleksandar will return to illustrate ST2. Like its predecessor, ST2 will feature quality erotic speculative fiction: SF, fantasy, and supernatural horror. No smut here; only serious fiction with erotic tendencies. The stories will range from titillating to graphic, however.

Otherworld Hearts

In the vein of the speculative fiction of Salacious Tales, Otherworld Hearts features science fiction, fantasy, and supernatural stories where romance is key. This anthology will transcend the cardboard writings of romance novels, with stories that will appeal to women and men, set on other planets, within other realities, or in other times.

Star Dreck

This began as a series of Star Trek-themed parodies, but I couldn't get enough quality subs. I combined them into one, and still have yet to get subs. Mostly, I get fanboy fiction by writers who never actually read the guidelines. This is now the anthology I've had open the longest—years!—and I'd love to publish it. I have a few stories so far, but not enough for an anthology. I'm giving this one more try.

Weird Maine

Originally, I was doing two anthos: one of speculative fiction set in Maine, the other in non-speculative fiction. I received no notable subs for the latter, and my heart wasn't really in it. This antho has been open for some time, and I have some great pieces, but not enough to publish. I'd like to see this happen.
